“The Canossa gullies have always been one of my favorite destinations. I searched for the perfect conditions for a decade to take this photo, with the clouds rising and falling through these blades of rock. On one of these blades stands a tree, in precarious balance. It reminds us how nature today is in a precarious balance and on the edge of the abyss. But this tree resists; it is resilient.”
